The theme for the event will be “Volunteers Leave Their Footprints.” Although hotel check in is not until 4:00 pm come early to register for the conference and check out the book sale. Don’t forget to bring non-perishable food for the Harvest Gathering. We will also have a raffle again this year. The proceeds will be donated to Harvest Gathering. The vendors will be there from 12:00 to 5:00 pm, and we will spend the afternoon checking out their displays. This is a time to look for some new vendors for your hospital fund raisers and gift shops. The drawing for vendor gifts will be at 4:30pm, and you must be present to win. After dinner on Tuesday, we are happy to have as our opening speaker John Otterbacher. He will speak on “I’m supposed to be Dead.” Wednesday we will start the day with breakfast followed by our political up date from MHA. This will be followed by Jeanne E Sexson, whose topic is "Lighten Up and Live." Next there will be three sessions of workshops, including a three-hour Gift Shop session by Anne M. Obarski on “Retail Gift Shops.” The other three workshops will be repeated every hour. They are, “Humor, Change & Opportunity” by Jeanne Sexson, “Leadership” by Mary Lou McFadden, and “Surfing the MAHA Website” by Jeanette Havel and Betty Bierman. The workshops will be followed by a District networking session organized by Chris Ainslie. This session will feature our six Districts, highlighting some of their special programs in their hospitals. In the evening on Wednesday we will have a great dinner followed by special entertainment provided by Cat Canyon. The raffle prize will be given away after the entertainment. Thursday our closing speaker will be Paul J. Koniarz, “The Laughter Factor.” We know you will have a terrific time and have a lot to share with those from your hospital that were unable to attend the conference.
